The Fire Science program will be developed in partnership with the Sheridan Fire District. Instructors for the program will be provided by Sheridan Fire, who will also coordinate funding and learning resources..
Fire Science/EMT
Initial access to the Fire Science/EMT classes will be available starting in Fall 2026 with established courses for BRCTEC students featuring access to a fire training tower. Course information will be posted here as it is developed in Spring 2026.
Student Outcomes
Long-term, students who complete the full pathway program will have skills that include fire prevention/ suppression training and emergency response activities. Students will be eligible to receive EMT, wildland fire, and national NFPA Firefighters 1 certificate.
