Total cost for all phases of the Barbara Roberts Career Technical Education Center is estimated at just under $20 million, which has been broken down into the following phases:
Phase 1A: Preconstruction cost; estimated at $1.4 Million
• Includes demolition of the original on-site building (resulting in a $1.5 Million savings for the overall project), Earth work, gravel/building pad and concrete for the fire tower.
Phase 1: Construction; estimated at $14 Million
• Full building shell; including main entrance, restrooms and landscaping.
• Interior work for Diesel Tech and Truck Driving, as well as Fire Science / EMT pathways.
Phase 2: Construction; estimated at $8 Million
• Interior work for Agribusiness and Manufacturing pathways.

We are currently in the final stages of Phase 1A/Preconstruction.
The immediate needs for the project to continue to move forward are:
• Gravel for building pad: $650,000
• Concrete for fire tower: $250,000

Access to career training through the Barbara Roberts CTEC depends on grants and donations from local businesses, organizations and local individuals who understand the extreme need for these programs.

As each pathway opens to students we hope area businesses will continue to play a vital role in the success of the center with participation in curriculum development, a future Industry Advisory Committee, student tours and internships with local organizations and on-site guest lectures that teach important insights into the local workforce environment.
